Zoo Miami
Kids are fascinated by animals they read about in books and see on their devices, and Zoo Miami is the perfect excursion for them to be an inch closer to exotic animal species. As the only subtropical zoo in the US, the sanctuary is home to a variety of animal species often not found in other zoos in the US. From Hippos and Crocs to Gorillas and Vipers, Zoo Miami is an absolute treat for the kids. Venetian Pool
The Venetian Pool is possibly the most picturesque swimming pool in the world located in the heart of Miami. The pool is large enough to receive 820,000 gallons of freshwater from an underground aquifer; with the water passing through the artesian wells. Such is the reputation of the pool that it is featured in the National Register of Historic Places - the only pool in the country to have such distinction. The attraction is found in the paradisal city of Coral Gables.
Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science
Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science is the perfect place for children to experience the wonders of science first-hand. Inspiring children and adults alike, the museum features a myriad of fascinating experiences; such as the MeLab, allowing kids to explore their bodies by conducting simple experiments. Another interesting exhibition is the Da Vinci, which displays life-sized machines imagined by the master Leonardo Da Vinci; with kids having the opportunity to add their own flavour to the creations in a custom engineering lab. Furthermore, the Museum houses a planetarium and an aquarium.
Wynwood Walls
Wynwood Walls is an outdoor museum built on verdant landscapes showcasing more than a dozen murals by underground graffiti and street artists from around the world. The picturesque park is the ideal place for kids to marvel at the stunning murals and artefacts or to simply enjoy the scenic pastures around. What’s fascinating is that the park was built on a piece of land used for dumping but has since become a major confluence of artists meeting and showcasing their work to the masses. Miccosukee Indian Village
The Miccosukee Indian Village is a marriage of old-word aesthetics and contemporary lifestyles in a rustic setting located at Mile Marker 36, U.S Highway, 41. The village lets you embark on a cultural journey to understand the ways of Miami’s Native American customs and traditions. Notable highlights include intricate handicraft, breathtaking alligator experiences and stunning airboat tours. Furthermore, kids will love to explore Indian villages and witness firsthand the culture of these ancient tribes. Adults and kids can have a tour of the tribe’s chickee huts and see the elaborate attention to detail that went into the making of jewelry, beadwork and handcrafted effigies. Coconut Grove

The oldest neighbourhood of Miami is home to a myriad of street-side cafes, chic bouquets, recreational parks and sea shore peppered with boats. Children can also take a ride on one of the trolleys that explores the entire community. Coconut Grove is a place chock-full of surprises and lush greenery - making it a picture-perfect destination for adults and kids alike.
Santa’s Enchanted Forest
As the name suggests, Santa’s Enchanted Forest is a place where magic, adventures and Santa encounters will delight souls of all ages. Billed as the largest holiday theme park in the world, kids can partake in immersive games, shop fascinating souvenirs, watch spectacular light shows, enjoy paintball, meet and greet with Santa and board the numerous carousel rides dotted around the spectacular venue. Lee and Tina Hills Playground
The Lee and Tina Hills Playground is located at the south end of the BayFront Park. The adventure-land has a modern, Downtown-vibe to it, with the playground featuring state-of-the-art safety features and some truly unique attractions. Children will be able to have fun with numerous zig-zag water slides, a boat play structure and a truly unique wave wall with sculptures of a dolphin, turtle and a manatee. This custom-built attraction is extremely popular among kids and features the marine species typically found in Miami waters. Other attractions include a pirate ship, bouncers and a supermax structure comprising several slides and climbing structures.
