Run by German duo Sven Mostegi (the baker) and Heike Vogt (the chef), this charming Marina eatery aims to offer clean, healthy food that doesn’t compromise on taste. There is a large variety of vegan and vegetable-focused options, and various dietary preferences are accounted for. The menu also features a helpful nutrition breakdown with the description of each dish – from breakfast plates to sandwiches and intriguing fusion dishes.

There is a kid’s play area on one side of the restaurant that is a little adventure zone – it has a wood jungle gym, a slide, play mats and soft toys. Combined with the peaceful waterfront setting, it’s a great spot for a weekend brunch with the family.

4. Masha And The Bear

This quirky themed restaurant on The Walk in JBR has become a popular spot for birthday parties. It is named after a well-known East European animated show and models its décor after it as well. The restaurant is primarily designed to cater to children, with a multilevel play area, lots of soft toys and play items, plus regular meet and greet sessions with character mascots and cooking classes for children.

The food is a mix of European dishes, and there is a particular focus on Eastern European delicacies and staples.

5. Solo

An award-winning restaurant located in the Raffles Hotel, Solo is one of the best options for Italian cuisine. It features a modern take on some very classic dishes, highlighting regional specialties, and is known for its lavish Saturday brunch.

Children can enjoy the outdoor play area at Solo or watch a movie indoors. A bouncy castle is put up during brunch.

6. Phileas Fogg

Located in the clubhouse of the Address Montgomerie at Emirates Hills, Phileas Fogg is named after the central character of the famous Jules Verne novel – Around the World in 80 Days. The décor drops you right into the 19th century, featuring booth with tan leather seating and wooden shelves packed with old-world curios such as transistor radios, rotary telephones, copper kettles, and more.

Inspired by Jules Verne’s novel ‘Around The World in 80 Days’, Phileas Fogg made a wager that he can circumnavigate the world in 80 days or less. Fogg and his French servant Passepartout depart from London and travel onto many places including Suez, Bombay, Hong Kong, Yokohama, San Francisco, New York and return to London on the 80th day.

The menu offers a decent selection of option, with a large focus on breakfast and on sweet treats.
