RAW was founded in 2007 and we quickly realized coffee is not just about the beans and how much care we put into roasting them. It’s also about managing many other variables, including your water quality, training, and finding the right equipment manufacturers to align ourselves with. 2. Nightjar
Nightjar was formed in 2017 by a group of eclectic coffee lovers who are all about giving a damn and making it good. We took our passion for coffee and the communities that grow it and bought that to our Flagship Warehouse in Alserkal Avenue. Now, were leading the market in artisanal coffee roasting, cold brew production and all round good times.
Of course, they also have a cafe on site, open 7 days a week from 10:00 - 21:00, serving up a delicious range of hearty food, alongside mocktails and (of course) their own coffees. 3. Boon Coffee
Boon near Jumeirah Lake Towers was founded by Orit Mohammed, who hails from Harar - the birthplace of coffee trading. She started the company with a “passion for great coffee and a desire to share unique experiences with others”. Her company works closely with all their farming partners and in addition to ensuring fair compensation they also reinvest in communities, funding educational projects.

4. Coffee Planet
Coffee Planet embarked on its journey in 2005, when the local coffee landscape in the UAE was very different from what you see now. With the goal to bring the finest Arabica coffee from across the globe to the masses, we set out to find who was growing the best quality beans, how they were harvesting them and how we could develop our own signature blends.
The brand started in fuel stations, when the company focus was improving “on the go” coffee options but now they have a far broader reach. Their roastery produces around 300 tonnes of coffee per month, alongside their capsules. All of their products are available online or in supermarkets - their online store also offers a selection of non-dairy milks, alkaline water, equipment and accessories.
5. Surge Coffee
Surge Coffee Roasters is a proud Emirati brand established in 2016 aiming to raise the coffee standards in the region, our main goal is to roast and serve the highest quality whilst preserving the great taste of coffee on a large scale for our customers.
They also have a schedule of classes and courses from introduction to coffee knowledge, to latte art and coffee roasting.
